Master’s Degree Programs for Certified Teachers
New York State certified teachers are required to earn a master’s degree within five years of obtaining their initial certification to earn their professional teacher certification. Hunter College meets this need, offering numerous NYS graduate programs for certified teachers to earn professional certification. Flexibly designed with the working educator in mind, these programs will enable you to earn professional certification while enhancing your teaching skills and helping you advanced your career. Undergraduates completing a bachelor’s degree program in education and on track to earn initial certification upon graduation are encouraged to apply to one of the programs listed below.
