Science and Robotics Advanced Certificate
Program Overview
This advanced certificate program is designed to provide elementary teachers with in-depth pedagogical and content understanding for teaching Earth & Space, Physical and Life Sciences in the elementary schools. In addition, the program provides hands-on instruction for teaching popular and school-based Robotics and Engineering curricula to children.
Coursework
Students complete a one-year sequence beginning in the Fall semester. Courses are offered in the afternoon and evening.

This program does not lead to NYS teacher certification.
Eligibility and Admission Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Transcripts from all colleges/universities previously attended
- Statement of Purpose
- Resume
- Include relevant experiences as a teacher or teacher assistant in elementary or middle school
- Two letters of recommendation
