Learning and Assessment Advanced Certificate

 

Program Overview

This advanced certificate will help teachers increase their knowledge and training in assessment and student learning. This 16-credit advanced certificate program will address the needs of individuals who have earned teaching certificates and seek to know more about quality assessment in classrooms and beyond, and how that relates to student cognition and motivation.

This program does not lead to New York State (NYS) teacher certification or licensure.

Eligibility and Admission Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a GPA of at least 3.0, and a master’s degree from an accredited institution with a GPA of at least 3.5
  • A statement of purpose
  • Two letters of recommendation
