Equity and Advocacy: Unearthing Joy: Practical Culturally and Historically Responsive Education (CHRE) Approaches for Classrooms and Schools

In this session, Dr. Muhammad will review culturally and historically responsive education with an emphasis on joy. Historical definitions of joy will be shared and participants will have an opportunity to see several ways to implement the pursuit of joy in schools. We will also discuss what joy looks like in our lives and how to advance joy for our children and communities.
