Clinical Experience for Educator Development (CEED) Scholars
For 2024 to 2025, Hunter College is providing scholarship support for undergraduate candidates during their student teaching semester. Funds, up to $3,000 per candidate, can be used to offset Hunter College tuition and fees.
Eligibility
All undergraduate candidates completing their student teaching during the spring 2025 semester are eligible to apply for funds. Applicants must:
- Have a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form on file with the Hunter College Office of Financial Aid.
- Have applied for Spring 2025 student teaching and submit proof of all required certification examinations via the Exam Score Report Upload Form by Friday, December 20, 2024.
- Respond to all questions on the application.
- Submit an updated resume.

Application Deadline
The application and all supporting documents must be submitted by December 20, 2024 by 5 p.m.
Selection Criteria
Scholarship applications will be reviewed on the basis of:
- commitment to reflective and equitable teaching, and
- financial need.
- Special consideration may be given to students who plan to teach in schools serving high-need communities or who plan to complete a master’s degree in high-need content areas.
Disbursement Requirements
Once selected, scholarship recipients will be required to submit a 500 word thank you letter to the donor, a 250 word bio and a professional photo.
