Background

Dr. Lauren Schnell-Peskin (she/her) has worked in the field of applied behavior analysis for nearly 18 years. She has provided consultation to individuals across the lifespan in school, hospital, clinic, and mental health settings. Dr. Schnell-Peskin completed her Ph.D in applied behavior analysis from Caldwell University and is currently an Associate Professor in the Applied Behavior Analysis programs at Hunter College in New York City, where she teaches graduate courses and mentors students in her research lab. Dr. Schnell-Peskin has published in areas such as educator and caregiver training, instructional design, efficiency of instruction, and verbal behavior, in books and peer-reviewed journals. She has presented her work at local, national, and international conferences. Dr. Schnell-Peskin has served as a reviewer for journals such as the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, The Analysis of Verbal Behavior, The International Journal of Developmental Disabilities, Psychological Record, Young Exceptional Children, The Journal of Behavioral Education, and the Education and Treatment of Children, and is on the board of editors for the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis and The Analysis of Verbal Behavior.

Dr. Schnell-Peskin’s research interests include the application of behavioral science in treating issues of public health, evaluating instructional efficiency, and the application of training protocols with caregivers and educators.
