John Sorrentino
Chief of Staff, Office of the Dean
John Sorrentino joined the School of Education in January of 2015. He holds a PhD in French Literature from the CUNY Graduate Center, and before coming to Hunter was the Postdoctoral Digital Learning Fellow at Macaulay Honors College and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Modern Languages at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
At Hunter, John collaborates with the School of Education’s leadership team on school-wide projects and strategic initiatives. He serves as the dean’s liaison to various administrative offices and services across the College, and oversees the School’s communications. In addition, John manages personnel actions and supports faculty and staff appointments and promotions, and works closely with the College’s facilities team to coordinate space planning, renovations, and operations for the School.
