Vivian Bueno

Vivian Bueno is currently the Principal at PS 73X in the Bronx. Ms. Bueno has been an innovative agent for change on behalf of Multilingual students in New York City public schools during her extensive career as a New York City educator. Prior to joining the PS 73X school community, she served as an Assistant Principal of Curriculum Instruction at PS/MS 218X, the Rafael Hernandez Dual Language School in the Bronx, District 9.
In that role, she designed and implemented a K-8 dual language school. Under her leadership, PS/MS 218 was recognized as a successful, educationally progressive dual language school committed to quality education for multilingual learners. This work has led her to present at National Conferences (NABE, NYSABE, MABE, TESOL, NYDOE, Fordham University, Bank Street College, NYU) on best practices for dual language programs. Ms. Bueno began her career as a bilingual teacher and later served as a Bilingual Instructional Coach. Her integrity and work ethic are paramount to her passion and dedication to advocate for high quality and rigorous instruction for multilingual learners.
