Tina Lee
2022-2023 Gray Fellow
Tina Lee is a New York City native and a proud product of the NYC public school system. Since she graduated from Hobart & William Smith Colleges, she has been given the honor and privilege of serving the El Puente Academy for Peace & Justice community for 15 years and counting. She was a math facilitator, an assistant principal and now, the current principal. Tina is grateful for EPA’s cultivating environment which allowed her to grow as an educator and school leader but above all: as a human being. She stands on the shoulders of activists, community members, past leaders and educators which makes her determined to empower all EPA stakeholders to contribute to the rich, ongoing legacy of social justice, human rights, and the arts.
Tina is fortunate to have been a participant in: the NYCDOE’s “Leadership in Education Apprenticeship Program” (LEAP), a lead principal in the “Learning Partners Program”, the DOE’s “Principals for Equity Fellowship”, an ally in the “Cahn Fellows Program” and a participant/future facilitator in The Leadership Academy’s “Principals of Color Collective.”
