Background

Olga Quiles has been the Principal of Community Math and Science Prep in Washington Heights since 2011. Prior to that role, she served as the Assistant Principal at the same school for approximately five years.

Born and raised in Washington Heights, Olga attended elementary, middle, and high school in District 6, where her school is currently located. She began her teaching career as a math teacher in the same middle school she attended, working alongside her favorite teachers who had now become her colleagues.

Olga obtained her B.A. in Sociology from the College of Mount St. Vincent in Riverdale, New York, and her Master’s in Education and Administration from the University of Phoenix. She is also the recipient of the NYC Middle School Principal’s Association Award for Outstanding Leadership.

Olga has a love of continuous learning, a passion for traveling, and, most importantly, the drive to inspire, motivate, and help students discover their strengths and conquer their challenges.
