Jeremy Daniel

Jeremy Daniel has been the principal of Brighter Choice Community School in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn since 2018. He previously served as a high school assistant principal for 4 years and a middle school ELA teacher for 10 years. As a learner, he believes that adults can gain a wonderful and important perspective by listening to children. It is a misconception that adults cannot learn from children and that they do not have the experience to contribute meaningful dialogue and solutions to complex issues in the world. At BCCS, our role is to instruct and guide, but it is also to learn and partner with our students and families in a collaborative educational journey, and this partnership begins at the early childhood level and lasts throughout our lifetimes.
