Jeneca Parker

Jeneca Parker is a lifelong learner, wife and mother of two young children, Harrison and Eleanor. She is the proud Principal of PS/IS 180 Hugo Newman College Preparatory, a Pre-K thru 8th grade community school located in Harlem. Prior to this role, she served as an Assistant Principal of a District 75 high school, instructional coach, and special education teacher in an elementary classroom. She received a B.A. in International Development Studies from Furman University and completed her Master’s degree in Leadership for Educational Change with a focus on Special Education at Bank Street College of Education. Jeneca is also an alumna of NYC Leadership Academy, Common Core Fellowship Program, and Teachers Network Leadership Institute MetLife Fellowship. Throughout her career, Jeneca remains committed to disrupting inequities, advancing innovative practices, and leading deep and sustained change that improves outcomes for all children. She views every child’s potential as limitless.
