Background

Fatimah Ali is a New York City School Principal and a Gray Fellow at Hunter College for Transformational Leadership. She has a B.A. in Drama Studies from SUNY Purchase, and after completing her undergraduate studies, Fatimah worked for the Bank of America before becoming a New York Teaching Fellow. She has a M.Ed. in Childhood Education and a second Master’s degree in School Building and School District Leadership from Lehman College, New York. Fatimah has over 400 hours of Yoga Instructor training, (Pure Yoga, NY), Reiki Advanced Practitioner Certification, (Kripalu, MA), Tao Meditation, and Healing Level 2 training (Mago, AZ). She has developed a unique framework that is transferable to any school. To date, Fatimah has been highly successful in bringing healing programs into each of the venues in which she has served either as a teacher or educational leader.
