Alexandra Hernandez

Alexandra Hernandez has been the Principal of Multicultural High School since 2011. The school is made up primarily of English learners (90%) and caters to students who are new to the country. Previously, she served as an Instructional Coach, Spanish Teacher, and worked for the Ohio Migrant Education Program. Ms. Hernandez earned her bachelor’s degree at Bowling Green State University and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree at Fordham University within the Urban Education Leadership program. She has accumulated 16 years of experience in the field of education. Ms. Hernandez has dedicated her career to supporting the Latino community through education. Today, she advocates for narrowing the achievement gap for immigrant youth. Her interest in education was derived from her own experience as a young student in South Texas. She believes that everyone deserves an opportunity to have a quality education.
