Clinical Experience for Educator Development (CEED) Scholars
The Clinical Experience for Educator Development (CEED) Scholarship provides up to $3,000 in financial support for undergraduate teacher candidates during their student teaching semester. This scholarship is designed to reduce financial barriers and support your development as a reflective, equity-driven educator. All undergraduate education majors who applied for Spring 2026 Student Teaching are encouraged to apply. The CEED application deadline is Sunday, December 21 at 11:59 p.m.
Eligibility
To meet the qualifications for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Have a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form on file with the Hunter College Office of Financial Aid.
- Be approved for Spring 2026 student teaching by the Office of Clinical Experiences (OCE) at the time selected.
- Respond to all questions on the application.
- Submit an updated resume.

Application Deadline
The CEED application deadline is Sunday, December 21 at 11:59 p.m.
Selection Criteria
Scholarship applications will be reviewed on the basis of:
- commitment to reflective and equitable teaching, and
- financial need.
Disbursement Requirements
If selected, scholarship recipients will:
- Submit a 500-word thank you letter to the donor
- Provide a 250-word bio and professional headshot
- Attend a January reception and an end-of-semester celebration
- Participate in a semester check-in with their Undergraduate Teacher Education Program (UTEP) administrative advisor
- Be invited to join a research project on the effects of scholarship support
Disbursements will be released by the Office of Financial Aid around the first week of March 2026.
