Jennifer Logan began her career in education in 2000, continuing a family tradition of dedication to teaching and learning. Over the years, she has served as a classroom teacher, literacy coach, and assistant principal. Since 2015, she has been leading as the Principal of Public School 41, the Stephanie A. Vierno School, located in the New Dorp section of Staten Island, New York. P.S. 41 is celebrated for its vibrant and diverse community, where a variety of languages and cultures come together, enriching the educational experience and celebrating the uniqueness of each child. The school offers a rigorous academic experience, ensuring that all students are challenged and supported to reach their full potential.
As a leader, Jennifer is deeply committed to fostering trusting relationships, strengthening core instruction, and knowing all students well to advance equity and excellence. She has collaborated extensively with the community and various partners to develop a shared vision for learning. This vision emphasizes that advancing equity and excellence for all children is essential for developing successful, thoughtful members of society who embody self-awareness, kindness, respect, and appreciation for themselves and others.
Under Jennifer’s leadership, P.S. 41 has implemented several programs aimed at engaging all voices and perspectives. These programs not only enhance student and family engagement but also promote a culture of mutual respect and shared responsibility for the educational success of every child.
