Urgent: Suspension of All School-Based Internships, Student Teaching and Field Placements Across CUNY

As of Monday, March 16, CUNY has suspended all school-based internships, student teaching and field placements across the University. All School of Education students participating in school-based placements – including teacher education and school counseling candidates – and their faculty supervisors should not report to schools/field placements until further notice. Please note – this does not apply to currently employed teachers, enrolled in practicum and alternative certification programs. Those teacher candidates should follow their school’s protocols. We understand that you will have many questions over the coming days, and Hunter is already working with CUNY and the New York State Department of Education to get further information for our students.
