New Episode of “Thinking in The Midst” Released
Dr. Cara Furman, Associate Professor of Early Childhood Education, released the latest episode of the podcast Thinking in the Midst. Thinking in the Midst features in depth conversations with Philosophers of Education about how their research can inform educational policy and teacher practice surrounding current issues in the field.
In the latest episode, “On Place-Responsive Education and Justice,” Gilbert Burgh and Mara Casey Tieken sat down to talk with Dr. Furman about what place-responsive and place based education could be. They contrasted this with schools where learning is removed from the environment, and schools that even make this removal part of the educational goal.
