Graduate Students Present at National Council of Teachers of English Annual Meeting

Professor Nadine Bryce took two graduate students enrolled in our Graduate Program in Literacy, Cali Leeds and Kyle Zhen, to present at the annual meeting of the National Council of Teachers of English in Columbus, Ohio, November 16th through the 19th.

They are first-time conference participants and presenters.

The group presented two papers that were developed from arts integrated work in their Literacies within the Disciplines course. The titles of their presentations were:

• Art Making Before Art Viewing: Enhancing Literacies through Visual Art
• Cultivating the Social Imagination through Literacy and the Arts: Creating Humane and Liberating Classrooms through Aesthetic Education Workshops
