Dr. Elissa Brown to Present at National Association for Gifted Children
Dr. Elissa Brown will be presenting with former graduate student, Seth Messier, at the National Association for Gifted Children conference in Albuquerque, NM in November on a pilot study of employing Problem-Based Learning in elementary science. Problem-Based Learning (PBL) allows students to learn content embedded in meaningful contextual experiences in order for authentic learning to occur. This session will share how employing PBL in science produced longitudinal growth in upper elementary diverse gifted students.
The National Association for Gifted Children conference gathers a community of K-12 and university professionals, parents, advocates, and others to learn best practices for educating and nurturing gifted children from all backgrounds.
