Adolescent Special Education Program Ranked in US News and World Report 2023 Best Online Programs

US News and World Report recently released their rankings for the 2023 Best Online Programs. The School of Education’s Adolescent Special Education Online Program, which has been in the top 100 the last three years, currently ranks 69th. Hunter Collegeā€²s online programs are among more than 1,800 programs surveyed by U.S. News. Only regionally accredited institutions whose programs are offered mostly or entirely online were evaluated. Learn more about the online programs rankings methodology.

The Adolescent Special Education Online Program is designed to prepare students to become a Special Education teacher to middle school and high school students with diverse backgrounds, learning styles and interests. Rather than focus on a specific subject area, graduates of this program are generalists. Special Education Generalists work in a variety of school settings including collaborative co-taught classrooms, small group intervention classes, and in administrative capacities as advocates for students with special needs.
