P.S. 183 – located on the Upper East Side (UES) of Manhattan – is seeking qualified candidates for Teaching Assistant positions in grades K through 2. This is an exciting opportunity for applicants looking to gain avaluable classroom experience while they complete their education degree or before seeking a full-time teaching position.

Responsibilities

• teaching Literacy and Math small groups
• teaching whole class lessons under the guidance of the classroom teacher
• conducting Literacy and Math assessments to understand student growth
• attend professional development training
• support students at lunch and recess

Hours average about 25 hours per week. Pay is $15.00 per hour.
