Xavier High School is searching for a motivated and collaborative science teacher to join their mission driven team of educators. As a Xavier faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching talented young men from diverse backgrounds and means to take responsibility, lead with integrity, act justly, serve others, and pursue excellence in an academically rigorous, Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory environment in New York City. Your responsibilities will include lesson planning, classroom management, grading assignments, evaluating students’ progress, curriculum development and co-curricular leadership. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or a relevant field
• Ability to teach Science curriculum that could include: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
• Ability to teach Computer Science and Technology curriculum including, but not limited to Coding
• 5 or more years of teaching experience preferred
• Strong organizational and classroom management abilities
• Developed interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a team environment
• Enthusiasm for the work of education in a Catholic, Jesuit context
