Requirement

Must obtain a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Masters preferred. Certification and License: NYS Teacher certification and license and Literacy certification and license B-6 required.

Experience

Experience in early childhood literacy intervention strategies preferred. Knowledge of Orton- Gillingham, Wilson’s Foundations, and/or other literacy intervention programs. Minimum of three years of teaching at elementary level.

To create and implement a flexible literacy intervention program that assists emerging readers in attaining fluency and comprehension skills.
