Kingsborough Community College is looking for an experienced part-time English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor to provide English language lessons to non-native adult speakers from different backgrounds and cultures. The English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor will be responsible for planning lessons with diverse activities that cover all aspects of the English language (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) using English as a Second Language (ESL) teaching methodologies. The English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor will create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) is preferred
• Three or more years of experience working with adult English as a Second Language (ESL) learners preferred
• Knowledge of English as a Second Language (ESL) teaching methodology
• Strong English language proficiency
• Great communication skills
• Ability to work nights and weekends
• Basic computer literacy
