The Department of Teaching and Learning at the State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz seek applicants for the tenure-track position Assistant Professor in Early Childhood/Childhood Education, to begin Fall 2020. This position is in the Department of Teaching and Learning’s B-6 certification program. The successful candidate will have expertise in culturally responsive pedagogy, and teach Education of Diverse Populations in addition to courses in child development and curriculum. Faculty members in this division also have the opportunity to teach Education Seminar, and tailor it to their scholarly interest. The successful candidate will also pursue a program of scholarly research and publication and participate in the faculty governance system.

Qualifications Required:

• An earned Ph.D. or Ed.D. in elementary education or a related field is required.
• Exceptional ABD candidates with a firm completion date will be considered.
