Teaching for Equity and Justice with the Elise C. Tepper Education Fellow Dr. Mariana Souto-Manning

Dr. Souto-Manning is a Professor of Early Childhood Education and Teacher Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. From a critical perspective, Professor Souto-Manning’s research examines inequities and injustices in early childhood teaching and teacher education, (re)centering methodologies and pedagogies on the lives, values, and experiences of intersectionally minoritized people of color.

Dr. Souto-Manning will deliver a keynote address. Following her talk, audience members will have the opportunity to engage in roundtable discussions to share ideas and build alliances to promote equity and justice work in educational and community settings.
