Spring 2026 Student Teaching Conference: Gearing Up For Student Teaching: Challenges and Opportunities
Mon, Jan 26 2026 9:00am-4:00pm
The Spring 2026 Student Teaching Conference: Gearing Up For Student Teaching: Challenges and Opportunities will focus on the expectations and requirements of student teaching, professionalism, differentiation of instruction, New York City Public Schools (NYCPS) culture, culturally relevant and sustaining pedagogy, social emotional learning, and trauma informed instruction. In addition, former student teachers will share tips and pointers from their time in the field to help student teachers navigate all aspects of the student teaching experience.
All students who will be student teaching this Spring are expected to attend the conference. While this is specifically for students that have been placed by the Office of Clinical Experiences (OCE), those who have secured positions as Teaching Assistants are also encouraged to attend as the contents of the workshops can be relevant to those roles.
