Information Session: Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Faculty and Staff Fellowship

Through collaborative learning experiences, reflective practices, and exchange of innovative strategies, the Hunter College social and emotional learning (SEL) fellowship for college faculty and staff seeks to provide a supportive community for professional growth and equip educators with the tools needed to ​support belonging from the inside out across the School of Education.

Up to six fellows will participate in a fellowship commencing in June 2024 and ending in May 2025. Each fellow will receive a stipend (distributed in Summer 2024) for year-long participation, which includes but not limited to

  • participating in a funded retreat from June 10th through 12th in the Berkshires and a one-day retreat in January at Hunter College
  • actively participating in cohort meetings via Zoom with notable guest speakers in July
  • revising at least one course syllabus, training materials, etc.
  • remaining connected in the fall and spring with three intimate gatherings per semester via zoom to sustain belonging efforts.
