Gearing Up for Student Teaching: Challenges and Opportunities

Gearing Up For Student Teaching: Challenges and Opportunities will focus on the expectations and requirements of student teaching, professionalism, differentiation of instruction, New York City Department of Education (NYCDOE) culture, culturally relevant and sustaining pedagogy, social emotional learning, and trauma informed instruction. In addition former student teachers will share tips and pointers from their experience to help student teachers navigate all aspects of the student teaching experience.

All students who will be student teaching this fall are expected to attend the conference. Those doing Supervised Teaching are welcome, but the first hour of the day may not be relevant to your context.
