Equity and Advocacy: Equity Eats
Thu, Mar 2 2023 11:30am-1:00pm
Equity Eats, sponsored by the Equity and Advocacy Committee, is an informal space open to all students, faculty, staff and community members to discuss various texts (i.e. books, podcasts, articles, and videos) related to equity, justice, diversity and inclusion. Special emphasis is placed on how these practices can be infused within our school contexts.
This semester the focus will be Gholdy Muhammad’s new book Unearthing Joy: A Guide to Culturally Responsive Teaching and Learning.
For the Thursday, March 2, 2023 meeting the discussion will be around topics in the first half of the book. Join the conversation even if you haven’t done the reading. This is an inclusive conversation embedded in our yearlong focus on healing and joy.
These gatherings are offered as hyflex with participants encouraged to join both online or in-person in room East 1203.
