Equity and Advocacy Critical Conversations: Abolitionist Teaching and the future of Early Childhood Care and Education
Wed, Nov 18 2020 5:30pm-7:30pm
Join us as we discuss issues of equity and justice faced in early care and education spaces. Learn about what community members are doing to advocate for change, and explore ways to act and commit to activism to promote respect for the field, the profession and for all the people who are fiercely committed to supporting children and families.
We encourage you to read some or all of the following resources to prepare for the Critical Conversation. In the session, we’ll engage in breakout discussions to talk about the issues and to promote collective action.
- Covid-19 has amplified the point the point that the fight for equitable childcare is a feminist fight – Lark Sontag
- Protect early child care providers – Anti-racism Daily
- We demand justice for early childhood educators – The Foundation for Child Development
The session will be held over Zoom and the link will be provided to those who RSVP.
