Equity and Advocacy: Community Connections and Equity Eats

Wed, Feb 7 11:30am-1:00pm

Community Connections, sponsored by the Equity and Advocacy Committee, are gatherings open to all students, faculty, staff, and community members. Share in our collective efforts to build equity through events, recruitment and retention, and research. The first 30-minutes will be devoted to building community and getting to know each other through potlucks and informal conversations. Bring snacks and/or sweets to share!

In the next hour, we will be holding our Equity Eats where we will discuss texts centered on equity, justice, diversity, and inclusion. In this session we will discuss Equity Eats: Pivot 4 (“From Hustle to Flow”) of The Four Pivots: Reimagining Justice, Reimagining Ourselves by Dr. Shawn Ginwright.

These gatherings are offered as hyflex with participants encouraged to join online or in-person in E1203.
