Equity and Advocacy: Care in Uncaring Times

Join us for the monthly Equity and Advocacy Committee meeting in W1007 or online. This month’s meeting is titled “Care in Uncaring Times” and is led by Kristen Hodnett.

This Equity and Advocacy session will feature two interrelated components—one centered on student experience and the other focused on student, faculty, and staff care.

Part I will highlight approaches for supporting students, including strategies for active listening, meeting with students, and creating opportunities with community partners to broaden their educational experiences.

Part II will be led by the Student Care Team (BRT) and the Counseling Center, and will offer a conversation designed for faculty, staff, and students. Participants will explore strategies for caring for themselves and others and learn about resources and supports available on campus to help navigate challenging circumstances.
