Certification Workshop – Undergraduate Teacher Education Programs

Please join certification advisors from the Office of Academic & Student Affairs (OASA) for a workshop that will cover all you need to know to apply for certification in New York State. This workshop will be specifically for teacher candidates in undergraduate programs. Kindly note that the information will only be applicable to current education majors in the School of Education.

In this workshop, we will break down some common certification terminology, cover requirements for certification, review certification costs and show you how to apply for certification on the New York State Education Department’s (NYSED) TEACH platform.

Prior to attending the session, please review the certification information for your program on the School of Education’s certification and licensure page. Select your program from the list under the undergraduate programs.

Everyone is free to join regardless of when you plan to graduate or apply for certification.

This session will be held online via Zoom. You must RSVP/Register with your myHunter.cuny.edu email address if you wish to receive a copy of the presentation deck afterwards.
