Apply for

Practicum/Intern

Students must apply for practicum or internship during the prior semester. Refer to the Rehabilitation Counseling Fieldwork page for requirements and step-by-step instructions.

Graduation

Students must apply for graduation the semester before their planned graduation. Refer to the Graduation and Commencement page for full policies and procedures.

Certification

Students can sit for the Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) exam after completing 75% of the coursework or after graduation. Refer to the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) for step by step instructions.

Required Workshops

Notes

  • The clinical courses (COCO 701, COCO 706, COUNR 718, COUNR 719, COUNR 725, and COUNR 726) and COCO 707 must be taken at Hunter College.
  • Students who do not obtain a grade of at least “B” in identified Clinical Courses have not successfully completed the course. Students need to petition the program and be approved to continue in the program.
  • Summer courses often vary from year to year and cannot be guaranteed, depending on instructor availability.
