This is a recommended Program Sequence for Fall 25 admits and beyond. Students may be exempted from up to 6 credits based on prior coursework.

- SPED 79200 – Language Development and Alternative Communication Systems for Learners with Low Incidence Disabilities: Multiple Disabilities including Deafblindness (3 credits, includes fieldwork hours)
- SPED 79100 – Alternative Assessment for Learners with Low Incidence Disabilities: Visual Impairment, Deafblindness, and Multiple Disabilities (3 credits, includes Fieldwork hours)
- SPED 70200 – Creating Classroom Culture in Special Education and Inclusive Settings (3 credits, includes Fieldwork hours)
Exams
- Students must take and pass a Content Specialty Test (CST) Multi-Subject Exam before beginning Student or Supervised Teaching. Because there is no dedicated Multi Subject Content Specialty Test (CST) created specifically for the (All Grades) certificate, to meet the certification requirements, students must take only ONE of the following Multi-Subject exams or have already completed one, as reflected on their TEACH account:
- Multi-Subject: Teachers of Childhood (Grade 1 – Grade 6)
- Multi-Subject: Teachers of Middle Childhood (Grade 5 – Grade 9)
- Multi-Subject: Secondary Teachers (Grade 7 – Grade 12)
- Multi-Subject (002)
- Safety Net Multi-Subject (902)
- Important: The Multi-Subject: Teachers of Early Childhood (Birth–Grade 2) exam is NOT acceptable for the (All Grades) certificate.

- SPED 79300 – Total Communication for Learners with Multiple Disabilities (2 credits, includes Fieldwork hours)
- SPED 79560 – Student Teaching/Supervised Teaching in Multiple Disabilities Including Deafblindness – PreK to 12(4 credits)
- Students are either placed for 5 days a week for 14 weeks for Student Teaching or students find full employment with students with multiple disabilities/ DeafBlindness for Supervised Teaching. Only one semester required.
- Offered Spring semester only.
