Childhood Special Education – Severe/Multiple Disabilities (MSEd) 3 Year Course Sequence and Program Tracker

- Credits: 40 to 52
- Students must take between 7-19 credits of childhood education credits (CEDC) in addition to the special education courses required for their degrees. Students can be exempted from up to 12 credits of the general education requirements listed below on the basis of equivalent courses taken at either the graduate or undergraduate level.
- Students who graduate from their teacher preparation programs in Fall 2023 or later, will be required to complete a teacher preparation assessment (TPA) as a requirement for program completion. As of April 2022, the Hunter College School of Education is reviewing the options for the TPA and we will have more information available for students in the coming months.

Or
- SPED 79553 – Supervised Practicum: Severe/Multiple Disabilities, Including Deafblindness, Grades 4–6 (2 credits; you find full employment with students with severe/ multiple disabilities)
Apply for
Student Teaching/Supervised Practicum
Students must apply through OCE for clinical courses. Applications are sent out via email in mid-September for Winter session, mid-Oct for Spring semester and in mid-March for the Fall semester.
