Program Sequence for Fall 24 Admits – Adolescent Social Studies (MA)
This is a suggested full-time program sequence. Students should consult with their faculty advisors to create an individualized program.
History Requirements
- History course offerings change from semester to semester.
- Graduate coursework in history will range between 9 to 15 credits, to be determined at the time of admissions by a review of students’ undergraduate transcripts.
- Students should register for courses that meet one of the five domains: U.S., European, world history, gender, and diversity in the U.S.
- Students can fulfill up to two domains with undergraduate credits. The evaluation of domains will be determined at the time of application. A domain may be fulfilled by at least two undergraduate courses in that domain with a minimum grade of “B” (3.0) or better. The evaluation of fulfilling domains will be determined jointly by the School of Education coordinator of the adolescent social studies program, and the director of graduate studies in the history department at the time of application.
