Assistant Director, Office of Partnership Programs
Lucia joined the School of Education in May 2017. Immediately prior, she ran an afterschool program at a Manhattan middle school as part of New York City’s Schools Out NYC (SONYC) comprehensive afterschool initiative. Lucia has also previously worked in higher education at Community Impact, a service and student leadership organization at Columbia University. In addition, Lucia has worked with teachers and students in a wide variety of program roles, including as a director of a residential academic program, a coach, and in an administrative capacity supporting teacher professional development.
In the Office of Partnership Programs, Lucia oversees a portfolio of partnership programs, working with New Visions for Public Schools, Lincoln Center Education, and the New York City Department of Education to recruit, prepare, and supervise teacher candidates in the city’s high-need teaching areas.
