Background

Ms. Karen Hambright-Glover was hired by the New York City Department of Education in 1994 where she worked as a kindergarten teacher, 3rd grade teacher, science cluster teacher, 6th grade teacher, math instructional specialist and UFT Chapter Leader at Public School 25K and Public School 28K in District 16.

Ms. Hambright-Glover was born in Brooklyn, New York and is a graduate of the New York City Public School System. She attended SUNY Cortland where she received a B.S. and M.S. in Education. She later earned her C.A.S. in Supervision and Administration from CUNY Brooklyn College. Ms. Hambright-Glover is an accomplished educator who has been a part of the New York City Department of Education for the last 24 years.

In 2002, Ms. Hambright-Glover was promoted to Assistant Principal of Public School 28K under the supervision of Dr. Janice Jacobs and excelled with management, curriculum, organization, community building, school data and assessment expertise. Mrs. Hambright-Glover was promoted to Principal in 2005 of The Weeksville School and currently is in her 14th year at the school.
